Smoke Detectors and Fire Safety
Get your smokies! NEC code requires that newly constructed homes have one smoke detector at each level of the home plus one smoke detector in each bedroom and wired together in series. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone that owned an older home could have have the benefit of hard-wired smoke detectors? Unfortunately, this can be costly. A less expensive alternative can be achieved by locating battery operated smoke detectors where their hard-wired counterparts would be. Call us at (412) 537-0687 to inquire about fire prevention solutions that fit all your needs. South Hills Electric, LLC is committed to educating its customers on the current code requirements and best practices for safety and fire prevention.
